1. Who We Are
NS Factura is an electronic invoicing platform operated by New Street Development, a company registered in Costa Rica. We provide tools to help businesses issue electronic documents compliant with the Ministry of Finance (Hacienda) v4.4 regulations. For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at: privacy@nsfactura.com
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information to provide our services: Account data: full name, email address, and password (encrypted). Tax information: company legal name, tax ID, economic activity, and VAT regime. Invoice data: client details, product/service descriptions, amounts, and tax breakdowns required by Hacienda. Digital certificate: your .p12 certificate and its PIN, stored with AES-256 encryption. Usage data: pages visited, features used, and session timestamps for platform improvement.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used exclusively to: Issue and transmit electronic documents to Hacienda on your behalf. Manage your account, tenants, branches, and team members. Send transactional notifications (invoice confirmations, Hacienda responses). Provide customer support and resolve technical issues. Comply with legal obligations under Costa Rican law. We never sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
Invoice records and tax documents are retained for a minimum of 5 years in accordance with Costa Rican tax legislation. Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where legal retention obligations apply.
5. Your Rights
Under applicable privacy laws, you have the right to: Access the personal data we hold about you. Request correction of inaccurate data. Request deletion of your account and associated data. Export your invoice history in standard formats. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@nsfactura.com. We will respond within 15 business days.
6. Security
NS Factura implements industry-standard security measures: All data is transmitted via HTTPS/TLS encryption. Digital certificates are stored using AES-256 encryption at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only. We perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. While we take every precaution, no system is 100% immune to risk. We encourage users to use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication when available.
